Religious coloring pages for Sunday school and home
Religious coloring pages give kids something to do with their hands while they listen to a Bible story, and something to take home afterwards. Every ColorTheDay collection in this category is a set of original drawings in one gentle, cute style, with a PDF for every page and one PDF for the whole set.
The first collection is our Bible coloring pages: Old and New Testament stories from Noah’s Ark and Jonah to the Good Shepherd and the empty tomb on Easter morning, plus a few short verse pages. More collections will be added over time.
How to use religious coloring pages
During the lesson. Hand out the page for the story you’re telling. Kids who color while they listen often remember more, and they can point to parts of the picture when you ask what happened next.
As a memory verse helper. Pages with short phrases in bubble letters work well for a weekly memory verse. Color the letters first, then say the words together.
At home. A coloring page at the kitchen table is an easy way to talk about a story from church, or to wind down with something calm before bed.
For gifts and cards. Colored pages make simple cards for grandparents, people who are sick or new members of your church.
Tips for printing
- Print a whole set with the “Download all” PDF on each collection page.
- Choose “Fit to page.” Our PDFs are US Letter and print well on A4 too.
- Print in black and white. The pages are pure line art.
- Use light cardstock if the pages will become cards or bookmarks.
