Coloring pages starring the characters kids love

Character coloring pages are the ones kids ask for by name. Each ColorTheDay character collection is a set of original designs, most of them inspired by a favorite cartoon, with a PDF for every page and one PDF that holds the whole set.

We draw our own characters for these sets. They capture the cute, round, friendly look kids love, but they are not copies of anyone’s artwork, so every page is safe to print at home, in class or for a party.

Ways to use character coloring pages

Birthday parties. Put a page and a cup of crayons at each seat. Kids color while guests arrive, and the finished pages go home in the party bags.

Make-your-own coloring book. Print the full set, add a cover the child designs, and staple it. It makes a thoughtful small gift for a fan.

Story time. Ask kids to tell you what the character on their page is doing and where it is going next. It’s an easy way to practice speaking and sequencing.

Calm corners. Character pages are a favorite quiet activity after school or for early finishers in class. The familiar, friendly look helps kids settle in.

Tips for printing character coloring pages

  • Print the whole set at once with the “Download all” PDF on each collection page.
  • Choose “Fit to page.” Our PDFs are US Letter and also print well on A4.
  • Use black-and-white printing. The pages are pure line art.
  • Try heavier paper for markers, or light cardstock if the pages will become cards or decorations.

Frequently asked questions

Are the character coloring pages free?

Yes. Every character coloring page on ColorTheDay is free to download and print for personal, family and classroom use, with no account or email needed. Please don’t sell the pages or upload the files to another website; share a link to the collection instead.

Do these pages show the real cartoon characters?

No. Every design is an original ColorTheDay drawing, sometimes inspired by a popular character but never a copy of it. ColorTheDay is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies that own those characters, and each collection says so in a short note.

Which character pages suit toddlers?

Pick the Easy pages. They show one big chubby character with very thick outlines and large spaces, which suit chunky crayons and small hands. Medium pages add a small scene, and Detailed pages fill the whole sheet with tiny objects.

Can I print a whole character set as a coloring book?

Yes. Each collection has a “Download all” button that gives you every page in one PDF. Print it double-sided or single-sided, staple the left edge, and you have a themed coloring book for a party or a rainy afternoon.

Can I use the pages for a birthday party?

Yes. Print one page per guest as a table activity, or let each child pick a favorite from the set. Many character collections include birthday, holiday and friendship scenes, so you can match the pages to the party theme.
