What’s inside this spider-hero coloring collection

This set has two original spider-hero coloring pages, each available as its own printable PDF, plus a single PDF with both pages so you can print everything in one go. Every page is drawn in bold black outlines with no grey shading, so colors stay bright and crayons don’t get muddy.

  • Spider-Hero Swinging Through the City (Medium): a young masked hero in a hooded suit and cape swings on a silk line between tall skyscrapers. There’s a spider badge on the chest and lots of buildings and windows to fill with color. It’s great for kids who like a bit of detail.
  • Spider-Hero Girl on a Rooftop at Night (Easy): a cute superhero girl with a ponytail, eye mask and cape sits on a brick rooftop ledge in front of a big round moon and the city skyline. It has large shapes with plenty of room for little hands.

We add new designs to this collection regularly, so bookmark the page and check back for more web-slinging action.

Coloring tips for a super spider-hero

Start with the suit. A classic look is a red hood and top with blue trousers, plus a bold black or gold spider badge. Color the big areas first with the side of the crayon, then go over the outlines and badge with a black fine-tip marker to make them pop.

Make the mask stand out. Color the eye mask a dark color, like black, navy or deep purple, so the hero’s bright eyes and smile pop. Add a light skin tone and rosy cheeks to bring the face to life.

Create a night sky. For the rooftop page, color the sky dark blue or purple and leave the moon pale yellow. If you press harder on the crayon near the edges of the page and lighter near the moon, you get a soft glowing effect.

Try your own hero suit. There’s no rule that says a spider-hero has to be red and blue. Invent your own costume: a green-and-black jungle suit, a pink-and-white suit with a purple cape, or a rainbow cape. Give your hero a name and write it at the top of the page.

Use the right tools:

  • Crayons are best for younger kids and big areas like the sky.
  • Colored pencils work beautifully on the small windows and bricks.
  • Washable markers give bold, bright superhero colors. Put a scrap sheet under your page in case the ink bleeds through.

Fun spider facts to share while you color

Real spiders are just as amazing as the superheroes they inspire. Here are a few facts kids love:

  1. Spiders aren’t insects. They are arachnids, with eight legs and two main body parts. Insects have six legs and three body parts.
  2. Most spiders have eight eyes, though some have six, four, two or even none!
  3. Spider silk is super strong. Weight for weight, some spider silk is stronger than steel, and it can stretch without snapping.
  4. Not every spider spins a web to catch food. Jumping spiders and wolf spiders hunt by sneaking up on their prey instead.
  5. Some webs are enormous. Darwin’s bark spider from Madagascar can stretch its silk lines across rivers, more than 20 meters (about 80 feet) wide.

And a superhero fact: the most famous web-slinger first swung into comic books in 1962, which makes the idea of a spider-powered hero more than 60 years old.

Activity ideas for parents and teachers

  • Superhero story time. After coloring, ask kids to tell a short story about their hero. What is their hero’s name? What problem did they solve tonight on the rooftop?
  • Design-a-suit challenge. Print the rooftop page several times and challenge kids to create three completely different suits. Vote on the favorite.
  • Window counting. Count the windows on the buildings, then color them in a repeating pattern (yellow, blue, yellow, blue) to practice early math skills.
  • Party table activity. Spread printed pages and crayons on the table at a superhero birthday party. It keeps guests busy while everyone arrives.
  • Science link. Pair the coloring page with a short lesson about real spiders and how they build webs. Kids can draw a real spider and its web somewhere on the page.

Printing tips for the best results

  • Print at 100% or “Fit to page.” Our PDFs are sized for US Letter and also fit A4.
  • Use thicker paper if you can. Standard 20 lb copy paper works fine for crayons and pencils. For markers, 24-32 lb paper or light cardstock stops bleed-through.
  • Choose black-and-white or grayscale printing to save color ink, since the pages are pure black line art.
  • Print a few extra copies. Kids almost always want to color their favorite page twice!

Frequently asked questions

Are these Spiderman coloring pages really free?

Yes. Every page is free to download and print for personal, family and classroom use. There is no sign-up and no email required; just tap Download PDF.

Can I print these coloring pages for my classroom or a birthday party?

Absolutely. You can print as many copies as you need for a class, homeschool group, library program or party. We only ask that you don’t sell the pages or re-upload them to another website.

How to print Spiderman coloring pages?

Tap “Download PDF” below any spider-hero page, or use the “Download all” button to save the full set as one file. Then open the PDF, press Print and pick “Fit to page”. Every sheet is sized for US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) with half-inch margins, so it prints neatly on A4 too.

What age are these spider-hero coloring pages for?

The Easy rooftop page has big shapes that suit preschoolers and kindergarteners (ages 3-6). The Medium city-swing page has tall buildings with lots of windows, which school-age kids (6-10) and older fans enjoy.

What colors should I use for a classic spider-hero look?

Bright red and royal blue are the classic superhero combination, with a black or gold spider badge and a contrasting cape. For something different, try a black-and-white ‘stealth’ suit, a purple-and-gold suit, or a glow-in-the-dark green.
